Pet Remembrance Day provides an opportunity for people to celebrate the lives of pets and the increasing number of ways in which we can commemorate them. Pet Remembrance Day fills a real gap for people to do just that. Our pet remembrance block design offers a unique way to remember your beloved pet companion and keep them near your heart. The third national Pet Remembrance Day, where people across the UK will remember beloved companion animals that have died, is to be held on Wednesday 5 th July. A primary school assembly, most suitable for pupils aged 7 - 11, marking Remembrance Day on 11th November. The day is celebrated on the 5th July to ‘create a space for people to remember their departed companion animal’. Pet Remembrance Day was launched last year on July 5 by 3D pet sculpture specialists Arty Lobster and Pets Magazine to provide a national day for people to remember pets people had loved and lost.Ī Twitter and Facebook competition to win a 3D memorial of a beloved pet attracted many poignant stories of pet loss and grief, and hundreds shared photos of their pets (see gallery photos at: ).
